After suffering from a severe index patellar dislocation on my right knee, this was a very traumatic experience and time for me due to the nature of injury. Under the care of the NHS Hospital at Chertsey I had spent weeks on strong pain relief and crutches, in all a lengthy time recovering from significant swelling and bony bruising. This was an extremely difficult time for me to see how I was going to recover fully and the anxiety of having to undergo major surgery. My parents were very concerned with the nature of my injury and how this would affect my mobility at a young age. We had decided to carryout research on recommended specialists for a second opinion with our local GP and on the Internet, and Mr Paul Trikha was highly recommended. It was nice and refreshing to have someone who was professional, friendly and straight to the point, and in simple medical terms fully explained the injury I had sustained, the diagnosis based on the reports and MRI scans and prognosis. All the possible medical options had been discussed and explained, however, Mr Trikha’s advice and recommendations were to avoid surgery at this present time and adopt a non-invasive surgical approach with a clear and medically structured 1st stage treatment plan for specialist physiotherapy under his care and guidance. I am writing to tell you how thankful and grateful I am to you and your support team, the through and after care process has given me a lot of reassurance and restored my confidence to be more mobile and proactive physically as my knee range and movement is now stable through the rehabilitation treatment plan under your care. A professional orthopedic knee specialist surgeon who has great expertise in his field and I would highly recommend his professional medical services. Many thanks RH

I had my right knee replaced in May 2014 by Paul Trikha who was the only surgeon who would actually listen to me and agreed to perform the operation despite the fact that I was only 50! I had absolutely no quality of life prior to the operation but it wasn't long before all that changed. I knew at the time of my first operation that my left knee would also need replacing in the future but I was able to hold on almost 3 years before returning to see him. I had my left knee replaced on 31st January 2017 and six weeks on the difference is amazing! Paul is a no nonsense surgeon (which I really like) who explains everything and is, in my opinion, absolutely brilliant at what he does. I have already recommended him to a friend who actually had his operation on the same day as me and he is also delighted with the results. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone. Thank you Paul you have changed my life. AW

A first class orthopaedic surgeon who we are lucky enough to have in our area. I would gladly recommend him to others. Can be a little brusque at first but that is his style as he is a very busy surgeon. Gets good results as long as you the patient follow his advice.

In 2015 i tore my Lateral Meniscus from running 5k 3/4 times a week my knees took the pounding, I saw Dr Trikha on the NHS who i found very straight to the point and clear. He Operated key hole surgery on my Left knee but unfortunately i had damaged it and left it too long, so he had no choice but to remove most of it and further to my next appointment he and I discussed the next step which would be best for me being only 28. Dr Trikha was confident in me and I in him that the best thing would be to go for a Lateral Meniscus Transplant which was not very common here in the UK. He explained the risks and we decided that we would go ahead with the Transplant. With all operations there are risks but here i am 5 weeks post op and just began to walk again! I chose to wait for my surgery as we had some important events in the summer although i was always given the option to have surgery earlier in 2016 i waited until early 2017. I feel like i have a brand new knee! Thanks Dr Trikha for the excellent care and performing the operation i wouldn't have wanted anyone else to do it! I highly recommend Dr Trikha and would go back to him in the future if i needed.
